I heart Pureology

Finally, the most talked about hair care line is available in Manila!

I recently got to try the Pureology line (available at select salons in the metro). Being all natural, i wondered how it will feel on my hair. I was amazed by the masque especially! It comes in a jar, it smells really good and it does wonder especially to colored hair. It is officially my current choice for a home-treatment!

Developed by Jim Markham in Irvine, California for a friend battling the Big-C, Pureology slowly made its way to provide hair colourists with high quality prestige products that do more than shampooing--it extends the color brillance and improves hair condition! It has an anti-fade complex aside from being a Zerosulfate shampoo. It is 100% vegan with only Organic botanicals as key ingredients.

Perfect for current movements for the environment and those who live the green life, this brand also has infused their shampoos with UVA and UVB sunscreens. Talk about all things in one line! You'll see good results after continuous usage. Check out your hair color lasting longer than usual.

Choose from three ranges, Hydrate Range (for dry colour-treated hair), PureVolume Range (for fine, colour-treated hair) and EssentialRepair (for distressed, color treated hair).

I personally like the PureVolume Range since i have fine hair. It does up the ante with much needed volume after each shampoo. I suggest though, before you decide which line to choose, ask your stylist to guide you through.

Clean Living

My love affair with hygiene dates all the way back in high school . Coming from an exclusive all-girls school, it was vital for us to wash up every break time, especially after PE classes.

Bizarre as it may sound, aside from boys, we usually shared new beauty finds!

Now that most brands are in Manila *hooray*, we have since upgraded conversations to which brand works best for eachother, aside from of course boy-related issues! HAHA.

One thing remains constant, the day to day clean living! It's a choice and a decision to be hygienic at all times.

Being exposed to makeup artists in my line of work, I love the artists who practice good sanitation, in their work and in keeping their tools clean. After all, they do this for a living, so they are ambassadors of cleanliness! I have learned from them that bacteria is always everywhere and it's up to the person to make sure he/she doesn't forget or discount that you get infected with these bacteria, if hygiene is forgotten. As the experts say, ask for a clean applicator when trying on makeup in beauty counters! You deserve at least that.

My quest is to make most Manilans do the clean living--in beauty hygiene. After all, Filipinos are known to be the cleanest lot all over the world, taking a shower/bath every so often to be fresh!
