Travel | New and Newer

Travel Stash from Hobby Depot
New. I love traveling, if it's not obvious yet. I saw these at Hobby Depot and fell in love.  I've had these babies for a few weeks now. The camera case was too cute to pass up but now seems I need a "new" camera. My old school camera has a huge "eyesore" on its screen. Nonetheless, it still captures good memories. The chalkboard pins--well, there is no excuse for this. Since I love entertaining as well, these pins will come handy. Read: travel related menu selections! Tan Pencil Case with Eiffel Tower Design: I needed to keep my pens together. This should be reason enough :)

DIY Stamps and Stickers
Newer. The DIY craze hits me once again. I've enjoyed personalizing tags and cards for friends back in high school--back when time was a thing I had but took for granted. But with these oodles of goodies, I think I know what I'll do when I need to de-stress :) I'll probably share (some) of my new prized possessions to travel bug friends. I can't wait for them to get as excited as me!! Craft Workshop coming up?! *Bells Ringing*

Needless to say, I took hours of Lloyda Tan's (of Hobby Depot and FashionistaFortuneCookie.Com) before I decided on the loot I went home with. Thank you for your patience. Check the site out but make sure leave some for other hobbyists!  Heeheehee!

Me Time with Coffee and Tea

Lost in Foreign Cities. I love traveling with family and friends. To those who know me well, they know I welcome hours of walking alone, taking in sights and capturing 'lightbulb' moments! Some of my favorite moments from past travels.

BKK. Thai Iced Tea at its finest by the pond at Jim Thompson House Museum.
Eat. Pray. Love. Relaxing ME time. Let the creative juices flow.

NAPA. Bouchon Bakery, Home of Yummy Macorons.

NYC. Reunited with Magnolia Bakery's Red Velvet Cupcake and Banana Pudding.

SFO. My Must: Tartine Bakery's Morning Buns+Coffee.
Being alone in some trips is a treat. Drink, eat and people watch. Soaking it all in my memory bank. What's your favorite travel moment?♥

Spin Me and Travel

global adventures begin now
The globe has an old world feel that transports me to a time when travelers would spin the globe and know where they are going. With Google Maps, one can say there is no point in having a globe to tote around. *any map will do the job!" I love that I'm able to spin this globe and call it my own travel companion!

Happily, my sister's family, The Tius' were nice enough to indulge me in this super nice lighted globe! It's the perfect gift for my birthday a couple of weeks back. It acts like a night lamp--with the strong light from within showing the countries. It also is a good conversation piece and nice interior piece tucked in a nice, safe place in my room. It is a winner for children, as it acts as a nice activity with the kids.

Thank you to the dear sissy and BEST Brother-In-Law. HAHA! I wonder where this globe will take me for my next trip? ♥

The Mystique of Maine, USA

Pursuing a childhood dream of visiting Maine, USA, the family and I did a road trip last April 2011. After months of fixing schedules and logistics, it finally happened! There is something about the white sailboats and tall lighthouses--two memories I will treasure when I remember the place. O course, the red juicy lobsters and the great shopping at Freeport, ME tops the cake.

The city that is synonymous to LL Bean, this place screams the Maine lifestyle. From fashion to outdoor gear; home stuff to pet props, this store lives and breathes what Maine locals love about their state. The people are a cross between relaxed and sophisticated.  Silent yet certain of their needs, they putter around the streets knowing exactly where they're going.

No one leaves the place without sinking their teeth into the succulent meat of red juicy lobsters. The family tried The Lobster Shack that served amazingly delicious lobsters. This place, as the owner Jason, mentioned opens only when it's in season. (We spotted photos of Former President George Bush, Jr having eaten in that exact spot!)

Crisp Air and Salty Waters truly make Maine a mystical place I want to visit yet again ♥
